Wellspring Calgary Opens!
Wellspring Calgary Hosts Official Launch
New cancer support centre welcomes, donors, founders, supporters and guests
On May 10, 2007, Wellspring Calgary officially opened its doors and held their first open house. Wellspring Calgary is a new centre of support for individuals with cancer and their loved ones. Part of a national network of community-based centres and the first to open in Western Canada, Wellspring provides services free of charge and without medical referral.
Cancervive/CTAPP has been a supporter of Wellspring Calgary from its inception and to date over $400,000 has been raised and donated. Presentations from Cancervive at the open house included Gracie’s autographed LiveSTRONG drawing and a cheque for $255,000 raised through the 2006 ride.
Cancervive is also in the process of developing new programs in conjunction with Wellspring with the focus towards fitness and exercise.
