Who knew there were so many dead animals on the highway!! We saw many, many, dead and destroyed, raccoons, dear, rabbits, skunks and other furry messes yesterday on our ride into South Dakota.
After a longish day waiting for our turn to ride we hit the road in Picture Butte. Unfortunately we made a slight directional error and headed north for about 20 unnecessary kilometres.......yikes!!! It was a really great ride though - warm and a strong tail wind for the last half of the shift. Fortunately Team 1 seemed happy to take on the challenge of making up our lost mileage when they took over. We are feeling a little bad for them right now as we just arrived in Shelby and drove through pouring rain to get here. I hope their ride is going ok.
Hi everyone, I'm following the trip on the blogg (with envy!!) and am happy to hear that things are going well so far. You are all awesome!! Thinking about all of you yesterday and of John Stephure - very sad times. It sure gives meaning to the journey doesn't it.
I've been wonderng how the driver volunteers are doing? How is the changed motorhome schedule working? Looking forward to hearing all about it when you get to San Jose.
Keep up the great work everyone - you're all awesome!!
Vanessa
