Day 5 -Thanksgiving Monday - 12 noon- 6pm ride

Today we started in just north of Burlington Colorado. Before we started we decked out the van with Halloween/thanksgiving decals and had a pumpkin with 4 bottle of southern comfort for Team 3 as our version of "thanksgiving dinner". We rode 20 km into Burlington - where we were met by Team 5 with a bottle of Wild Turkey - shooters all around - as you can tell once the weather improved the games and pranks have started. Beautiful day - temperature 24C with not a cloud in the sky - however strong wind from south made this the most challenging ride - Cynthia was not feeling too well so she rode 30 kn in the motorhome and then joined the team for the last 30 km. On the road - Team 3 surprised us with a bottle of pumpkin wine (not a good vintage) so we fed some of it to the cows!

Finished the ride in good form with rolling peleton moves (showing off for the cameras).

Drove 5 + hours to Amarillo - crashed at 12 :30pm.
