Motivation: In 1999, I met my future wife Heather. While we were dating she was diagnosed with cancer (adenocarcinoma of the appendix stage 4). Together we fought this cancer and when it was all done we got married!!!
Five years later we were able to get pregnant with our boy Kieran. During the pregnancy Heather's cancer returned in her left lung. After Kieran was born, Heather had her left lung removed.
Since then Heather and I have been very motivated to educate people on cancer and prevention. We want to support as many people as we can that have been affected by cancer.
We can't wait to participate in Austin this year and raise money and awareness for Cancer, Cancervive and Wellspring Calgary!
