Motivation: My history with Cancervive started in 2007 when Doug Rogers rode to Austin and invited me as a “Cancervive Warrior”. Getting to know Doug and having an event to look forward to were the first positive experiences I'd had since my diagnosis. I still had a long road of chemo ahead but it was nice to know I had something planned post-treatment. It was an honour to meet with other survivors that had not only beat Cancer, but were truly better people having gone through the experience. I began to look forward to completing treatment not only to survive Cancer, but to come out a stronger and better person than when I went in!
Participating in this ride is my small way of giving back to Doug and the program that has meant so much to me over the last 3 years.
