Take part in an iconic 6-day ride through gorgeous Banff National Park and the foothills of Southern Alberta. This year’s Cancervive Cycle Tour charity bike ride is set for September 12-17, 2017.
Riders will leave from Calgary, head to the foothills of Southern Alberta, ride through gorgeous Kananaskis Country and Banff National Park, and return back to Calgary via Rocky Mountain House and Cochrane.
Perfect timing on our part: National Geographic named Banff, Alberta as one of the best places to visit in 2017. We’re excited this year’s ride will take our riders through the town of Banff and Banff National Park on the year of Canada’s 150th birthday!
Welcome back all Riders from past Cancervive Tours! Our last 3 rides have been in Alberta, exploring the our beautiful countryside with friends of the Cancervive Community.
First time riding with Cancervive may see a bit much in terms of distance and time. We will help first time riders with training schedule suggestions, group rides, bike and accessories recommendations and nutrition. We have support vans along the entire ride. You have the option of not completing the entire day’s ride or skipping a day. First time riders will be grouped together for the ride if they wish and experienced rider(s) will ride with this group. We will have veteran riders accompany first time riders for 1/2 or 1 day with first timer group to help build community and confidence and to ensure all riders are having a great riding experience.
